How to Properly Use SF6 Gas

Pay attention to the following three points for proper use of SF6 gas:

      1. Regular inspection and detection. The duty officer should inspect SF6 electrical equipment daily using an infrared dual-wave leak detector. If a leak is found, check whether the leakage content exceeds the standard, report immediately, and handle it promptly.

       2. Inspect the explosion-proof membrane. For GIS equipment equipped with an explosion-proof membrane, conduct regular inspections at fixed times every day. Do not stay near the membrane. Report any abnormal conditions immediately. If the membrane is damaged, cut off the power for handling. Clean the membrane with gasoline or acetone.

      3. Regularly calibrate the alarm device. Check the pressure set value annually, inspect whether the contacts and alarm are intact, and ensure all wire connections are secure.
