How to Use High-Voltage Clamp Leakage Current Meter in Practice

Press the power button to start, the LCD displays, and it enters the normal test mode. If the LCD is dark after startup, the battery voltage may be very low, please replace the battery. When the instrument is turned on for 15 minutes, the LCD will continue to flash, which means the instrument will automatically shut down. The LCD will automatically shut off after flashing for 30 seconds to reduce battery consumption. If the LCD continues to flash, press the power button to continue working.

After normal startup, place the wire in the middle area of the clamp, such as A. Perpendicular to the core tube area of the instrument, push the lead wire into the clamp meter, and the LCD displays the measurement result before. If it displays “OL A”, it means that the measured current exceeds the limit of the gear's wire. Please select a higher gear or the upper limit of the instrument's range.

Peak test: maximum current test. During the test, the instrument automatically compares the changes in the measured current and maintains the maximum current value of the current line. When the instrument is emptied of the tested wire, the test result will be maintained all the time. It is suitable for online testing where LCD data is not easy to read directly.

In normal test mode, press the peak key and the peak indicator light enters the peak test mode. That is, the meter displays and automatically maintains the maximum current value during the test.

In another mode, you must return to the normal test mode, then perform the above PEAK test operation.

Press the PEAK key to exit the PEAK test mode and return to the normal test mode. During the exit process, the “End” symbol is displayed.

The high-voltage clamp leakage current meter is very simple to do the PEAK experiment. Electric power workers can easily master it by reading the product manual carefully before use, so special attention should be paid.
