The internal connection mode of power capacitor banks usually adopts star connection (Y) and delta connection (△). Actual operating experience shows that the damage rate of delta-connected capacitor banks is much higher than that of star-connected capacitor banks. At present, most high-voltage shunt capacitor banks use star connection. This instrument can test power high-voltage shunt capacitor banks, whose internal connection modes include: three-phase Y, three-phase delta, three-phase Yn, and three-phase III.
In the three-phase test, you must wait until the progress bar reaches the end before reading data.
When measuring Y-shaped internal wiring, the instrument panel is connected as described above, only three wires need to be connected, and there is no need to insert the current clamp (because there is an internal current clamp). Select the test mode, enter the test, and you can measure three capacitors at once with the three-phase Y test interface.
The test voltage cables are respectively clamped onto the connecting busbars of the two poles of the capacitor bank under test. The clamp current sampling meter is attached to the shell of the single capacitor to be tested; when measuring internal wiring, the instrument panel is wired, and only three wires are connected. The line is normal, and there is no need to insert the current clamp (because there is an internal current clamp). Select the test method, input the test, and measure all three capacitors at once. Remove the current sensor and fix it on another capacitor to be tested, wait for the data to stabilize and read until the phase measurement is completed. After the test, cut off the power supply, restore all switches on the panel to the state before the test, and remove all wiring.
The wiring work for the three-phase capacitance test of the capacitance and inductance tester is relatively simple, and electrical workers can easily master it. This test method is also often used in actual work, so it needs to be mastered proficiently.
