How to Use High and Low Voltage CT Ratio Tester:
Test Preparation:
1. Inspect the appearance of all parts of the instrument. Only proceed to the next step if there is no damage, deformation, dirt, or water stains.
2. Turn on the power switch, observe the battery voltage and remaining charge percentage of each battery on the LCD screen, and check whether the battery level is sufficient.
3. Check whether the insulating rod operates normally, whether the locking function of each section is normal, and whether it can be locked and released flexibly. Only use it after confirming it is normal.
Test Steps for High and Low Voltage CT Ratio Tester:
1. Connect the low-voltage clamp meter to the host, ensuring the interface is locked tightly to prevent open circuit.
2. Connect the host antenna to ensure good wireless communication quality (if the distance between the high and low voltage test points is very short and there are no obstacles, the antenna may not be needed).
3. Turn on the host power, select and enter the "Ratio Measurement" function screen.
4. Clamp the low-voltage clamp meter onto any wire on the secondary side of the transformer under test, ensuring current flows in the direction indicated by the arrow on the clamp meter, and also ensure the jaws are properly closed. At this time, the secondary current amplitude should be displayed on the host's LCD screen.
4. Connect the high-voltage clamp meter to the insulating rod, adjust the length of the insulating rod according to the height of the line under test, and ensure that each section is securely locked.
5. Gently push the insulating rod upward to clamp the high-voltage clamp meter onto the primary side conductor of the transformer under test, also paying attention to the current flow direction and proper jaw closure.
6. Read the test results on the host.
7. Pull down the insulating rod to detach the high-voltage clamp meter from the line under test. Do this gently, avoiding forceful pulling to prevent mechanical damage.
8. Retract the insulating rod, turn off the power of the high-voltage clamp meter, and remove it from the insulating rod.
9. Remove the low-voltage clamp meter from the secondary wire, then detach it from the host.
9. Turn off the host power and remove the antenna.
10. Place all accessories into the packaging box. The test is complete.
The LCD display interface mainly has three screens, including the main menu and three function interfaces, which are described in detail below.
1. The startup main interface is shown in Figure 3:

As seen in the figure: The main menu has three options: Instrument Self-test, Ratio Measurement, and System Calibration. When the cursor points to a function option, that icon is highlighted in reverse. In Figure 3, the selected item is the 'Instrument Self-test' function. Use the up, down, left, and right keys to change the selected option. Then, press the 'OK' key to enter the selected function display screen. The System Calibration is the calibration interface used by the manufacturer before shipment; users do not need to understand it.
6. Charging Instructions for High and Low Voltage CT Ratio Tester
Both the host and the wireless high-voltage clamp meter are equipped with high-performance lithium polymer rechargeable batteries. The host's LCD interface can display the current voltage and remaining charge percentage of the internal batteries of both the host and the wireless high-voltage clamp meter. The front of the wireless high-voltage clamp meter also has three battery indicator lights, representing remaining charge levels of 30% (one light on), 60% (two lights on), and 90% (three lights on).
When the remaining battery charge is less than 10%, charge the instrument promptly; otherwise, normal use may be affected.
Generally, charging takes about 6 hours to fully charge. After full charge, it automatically switches to float charging, and prolonged charging will not damage the battery.
The host and the high-voltage clamp meter share the same charger and can be charged simultaneously. When charging, be sure to connect the charger to the instrument first, then plug the charger's power cord into a 220V AC power outlet. Do not reverse the order, as this may cause the charger to protect itself and fail to charge.
This type of battery has no memory effect. To avoid battery depletion affecting use, it can be charged at any time.
