Wiring Diagram and Operation Guide for Oil-Immersed Insulation Withstand Voltage Tester:
1. Connect the working wires according to the wiring diagram of the oil-immersed insulation withstand voltage tester. It must be noted that when using this test transformer, the "high voltage tail" must be reliably grounded.
(Wiring Diagram)
2. Before connecting the power supply, the voltage regulator of the control box (console) must be adjusted to zero. After the power is connected, the green indicator light will be on. Press the start button, the red indicator light will be on, indicating that the transformer is energized and waiting for voltage boosting.
3. Rotate the voltage regulator handle clockwise uniformly at a speed of 1.5-2KV/S to boost the voltage, and closely monitor the instrument indications and the condition of the test object. When the leakage current is too large or the test object breaks down, the overcurrent protection relay will quickly cut off the power supply.
4. After the test, the voltage regulator should be adjusted back to zero at a uniform speed.
5. If during the test the voltmeter pointer swings greatly, the ammeter reading increases sharply, or the test object smokes, arcs, has burnt spots or abnormal sounds, the voltage should be immediately reduced, the power cut off, and the cause investigated.
6. When using YD series products for DC testing, the silicon stack short-circuit rod (D) and the series excitation tap wiring rod (C) in the high-voltage bushing must be loosened and pulled out, and wrapped with clean insulating paper. After the DC test, when performing AC voltage test, both short-circuit rods must be screwed in.
7. During DC testing, current limiting resistors and filter capacitors should be added to prevent damage to the silicon stack.
8. Environment: When the temperature is too high, a small amount of oil may overflow from the top of the bushing, which is normal. When DC testing, if obvious corona appears on the inner wall of the bushing, it is generally a sign of low oil level. At this time, the short-circuit rod should be taken out, and qualified No. 25 transformer oil should be injected through its hole using a syringe.
9. When using the oil-immersed insulation withstand voltage tester in series excitation mode, it must be noted that the output terminals (A) and (X) of the control box should be correspondingly connected to the output terminals (a) and (x) of the first test transformer. The output terminals (A, X) of the first test transformer should be correspondingly connected to the input terminals (a) and (x) of the test transformer on the second JT1, and its shell should be connected to the input of the primary transformer. The input terminals (a) and (x) of the test transformer on the third JT2 should be connected to the output terminals (A) and (X) on the top of the bushing of the test transformer on the second JT1.
