Knowledge of AC/DC High Voltage Divider
The AC/DC high voltage divider is a universal high voltage measuring instrument, which can be used in power systems, electrical appliances, and electronic equipment manufacturing departments to measure power frequency AC high voltage and DC high voltage. The AC/DC high voltage divider is composed of a high voltage measuring part and a low voltage display instrument. During operation, the high voltage part and the low voltage instrument are separated, ensuring safe and reliable operation. The AC/DC high voltage divider is of portable structure, with the whole machine using an aluminum alloy packaging box as the casing, making it very convenient to use and carry.
Characteristics of AC/DC High Voltage Divider:
1. High accuracy: AC: 1.0% DC: 0.5%.
2. Safe and reliable: The AC/DC high voltage divider is composed of a high voltage measuring part and a low voltage display instrument. During operation, the high voltage part and the low voltage instrument are separated, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
3. Convenient reading: The upper end of the high voltage divider is the high voltage terminal, which can be directly connected to the measured high voltage. The lower end has a dedicated grounding terminal for grounding. Use a dedicated cable to connect the high voltage divider and the low voltage display instrument, select the corresponding voltage and range, and start measurement. The reading is in kV.
4. Portable: The AC/DC high voltage divider is of portable structure, with the whole machine using an aluminum alloy packaging box as the casing, making it very convenient to use and carry.
Instructions
The AC/DC high voltage divider consists of a high voltage divider and a low voltage display meter, connected by a dedicated cable to form a complete high voltage measuring device.
1. Wiring
The upper end of the AC/DC high voltage divider is the high voltage terminal, which can directly input the measured high voltage. The lower end has a dedicated grounding terminal for grounding. Use a dedicated cable to connect the high voltage divider and the low voltage display meter, and select the corresponding voltage and range to start measurement.
2. Power frequency high voltage measurement
After connecting the measurement circuit, switch the function switch of the low voltage display meter to AC gear, select High gear, and directly measure the power frequency high voltage. The reading is in kV. If the measured voltage is lower than 20kV, switch the function switch to Low gear to obtain a higher accuracy reading.
3. DC high voltage measurement
After connecting the measurement circuit, switch the function switch of the low voltage display meter to DC gear, select High gear, and directly measure the DC high voltage. The reading is in kV. If the measured voltage is lower than 20kV, switch the function switch to Low gear to obtain a higher accuracy reading.
5. Influence of low voltage instrument input impedance on high voltage divider: The input impedance of the low voltage measuring instrument used with the SGB-C series digital high voltage meter is 10MΩ. When using other instruments, the influence of their input impedance should be considered.
6. When applying high voltage, there should be no debris near the high voltage divider and the high voltage lead.
7. The standard dividing ratio of the high voltage divider is K=1000.
4. Grounding
Note: Check grounding before use.
