AC/DC High Voltage Divider is an Ideal Instrument for Field Measurement

  AC/DC High Voltage Divider is widely used in power systems and electrical and electronic equipment manufacturing departments to measure power frequency AC high voltage and DC high voltage. The AC/DC high voltage divider is a special instrument for field measurement, which can measure both DC high voltage and AC high voltage. The entire equipment consists of a voltage divider and a measuring instrument. The voltage divider adopts a balanced equipotential shielding structure. The AC/DC high voltage divider uses electronic components inside a completely sealed insulating cylinder, making the whole device have the characteristics of accurate testing, good linearity, stable performance, reasonable structure, easy portability, simple operation, and intuitive display. Therefore, it is an ideal instrument for field measurement.

    1. Features of AC/DC High Voltage Divider:

    ◆ High Accuracy

    It is an upgraded product of the high-voltage electrostatic voltmeter;

    ◆ Safe and Reliable

    The AC/DC high voltage divider consists of a high-voltage measurement part and a low-voltage display instrument. During operation, the high-voltage part and the low-voltage instrument are separated, ensuring safe and reliable operation;

    ◆ Convenient Reading

    The AC/DC high voltage divider has a high-voltage end at the top equalizing shield of the high-voltage divider, which can be directly connected to the measured high voltage. The lower end has a dedicated grounding terminal for grounding use. Connect the AC/DC high voltage divider and the low-voltage display instrument with a dedicated cable, and select the corresponding voltage and range to start measurement. The reading is in kV;

    ◆ Easy to Carry

    The digital voltage divider has a portable structure, with the whole machine using an aluminum alloy case as the shell, making it very convenient to use and carry.

    2. Precautions for AC/DC High Voltage Divider:

    1. During use, there should be no debris within 2 meters around the divider below 100KV (3 meters for 150KV-200KV dividers, 4 meters for 300KV dividers). The distance between the instrument, the divider, and personnel should be determined according to the operating procedures for digital high-voltage meters in the electric power industry standard. Our company recommends maintaining a safe operating distance of at least 5-6 meters.

    Adhere to the principle of handling with care, and never collide or squeeze. This brings great convenience to the detection work.

    2. The standard voltage divider should be placed in dry air. After use, it should be put back into the aluminum alloy case to prevent moisture.

    3. When a relatively obvious discharge sound is heard, it indicates that the standard voltage divider may be damp. Use a drying blower to blow from top to bottom for 1-2 minutes.

    4. After completing the AC test, the dedicated display meter will not immediately return to zero but will slowly decrease. This is because the true RMS measurement method is adopted, and the return-to-zero time is generally 10-15 minutes. If it does not completely return to zero, it does not affect the measurement accuracy. Because AC has no "positive" or "negative" polarity, but during AC testing, the meter display still shows a "-" sign. This is a negative signal output designed by the TMS conversion chip to improve anti-electromagnetic interference capability, which has no impact on test accuracy. At the same time, in AC measurement, repeated measurement with the AC/DC high voltage divider meter without returning to zero will not affect accuracy.
