Microcomputer-based High-Voltage Circuit Breaker Simulation Device Model: TH52SB-6633D Stock No.: M362045

I. Purpose

The simulation device is mainly used for complete group tests of relay protection devices and to replace actual high-voltage circuit breakers in projects such as standby power supply automatic switching device tests (according to needs, it can flexibly simulate the three phases of three groups of circuit breakers, with two independent three-phase closing and tripping operations). During complete group tests, it simulates the tripping and closing of high-voltage circuit breakers to avoid adverse effects caused by repeated complete group tests causing repeated opening and closing of high-voltage circuit breakers. This simulation device is a supporting product for microcomputer relay protection test systems and can also be used with relay protection calibration devices from other manufacturers. Especially in new plants or stations where high-voltage circuit breakers are not yet adjusted or DC power is not supplied, using this device for relay protection tests will not be affected by external factors, thereby shortening debugging time and improving test work efficiency. Using this device in production manufacturers and scientific research departments is even more effective. Other similar applications can be handled according to specific conditions.

II. Test Instrument Principle

The simulation device uses a single-chip microcomputer as the control core to achieve functions such as setting the tripping and closing time of simulated high-voltage circuit breakers, selecting three-phase/split-phase operation, and logical control of input signals, thereby simulating the tripping and closing actions of high-voltage circuit breakers. It also provides a set of fully isolated adjustable voltage (25-250VDC) and adjustable current (0.5-10ADC)DC voltage output. The device is simple and reliable to operate.

III. Usage Method

(1) Connect the power supply and select as needed: closing time; tripping time; tripping and closing coil resistance (100 ohms or 200 ohms); whether the tripping and closing process is three-phase or single-phase operation.

(2) The panel is equipped with manual tripping and closing buttons; when operated, all three phases trip and close simultaneously.

When the simulation device is in the closing state, the closing indicator light (red light) is on. At this time, the normally open contacts of the simulation device are closed, and the normally closed contacts are open.

When the simulation device is in the tripping state, the tripping indicator light (green light) is on. At this time, the normally closed contacts of the simulation device are closed, and the normally open contacts are open.

For example: during a complete group test, connect the A, B, C detection contacts of the system host to the A, B, C three-phase tripping normally closed contacts (green points) of the simulation device; connect the R detection contact to the A, B, C three-phase closing normally open contacts (red lights) of the simulation device. If performing a three-phase * reclosing test, the R detection contact can be connected to any one phase of the A, B, C three-phase closing normally open contacts of the simulation device; if performing a three-phase non-* reclosing test, the R detection contact must be connected to the phase that operates among the A, B, C three-phase closing normally open contacts of the simulation device. In the software settings, set the "circuit breaker opening delay" and "circuit breaker closing delay" to "0" milliseconds.

(3) The external tripping and closing pulse power supply can be DC 110V or DC 220V. When using this simulation device for complete protection group tests, disconnect the three-phase tripping terminals and three-phase closing terminals in the operation circuit on the protection panel from the external circuit, then connect them to the tripping and closing input terminals of the simulation device, and connect the negative power terminal to the DC common terminal (one) of the simulation device.

(4) When the operation selection is "three-phase", tripping and closing pulses or manual tripping and closing cause all three phases of the simulated circuit breaker to operate. In "split-phase" mode, tripping and closing pulses only cause the corresponding phase to operate, while the other two phases remain unchanged.

(5) If the newly installed protection device does not yet have a DC operating power supply, the isolated DC power supply provided by this unit can be used. By adjusting the knob, different voltage values (25-250VDC) can be output for testing the protection action characteristics.
