Transformer Anti-Accident Measures

—、Preventing Transformer Insulation Breakdown

    1. Preventing water and air from entering the transformer

    (1) During operation, the transformer should be prevented from water ingress and dampness. The top of the bushing turret, the top of the oil conservator, the bushing riser and its connecting pipes must be well sealed. If necessary, leak detection tests should be conducted. If insulation dampness is found, corresponding measures should be taken promptly.

    (2) For transformers after major overhaul, vacuum treatment and oil filling should be carried out according to the specification manual. The vacuum degree, vacuum pumping time, oil inlet speed, etc. should meet the requirements.

    (3) When adding oil from the oil conservator or filtering oil online, the accumulated water in the oil conservator should be drained first. Oil should not be added from the bottom of the transformer to prevent moisture, air, or impurities at the bottom of the oil tank from entering the transformer body.

    (4) When the gas relay sends a light gas action signal, the gas relay should be checked immediately, and gas samples should be taken for testing to determine the gas composition. At the same time, oil samples should be taken for chromatographic analysis to promptly identify and eliminate the cause.

    (5) The silica gel of the breather should be checked regularly to ensure it is normal and unobstructed.

    (7) If the transformer has been out of service for more than 6 months, relevant tests should be conducted according to the preventive test code before re-commissioning.

    2. Preventing foreign objects from entering the transformer.

    (1) When replacing the cooler of the transformer, the oil pipes and cooler must be repeatedly flushed with qualified insulating oil until the oil test after flushing is qualified and there are no foreign objects. If many foreign objects are found, further inspection and treatment should be carried out.

    (2) The silica gel in the oil purifier device should be prevented from entering the transformer. The filter screen should be checked regularly and the adsorbent replaced.

    (5) Regularly check whether the oil flow relay indication is normal. Check whether the baffle of the oil flow relay is damaged or detached.SF6 density relay calibrator adoptsmicrocomputer technology, and is a portable calibration instrument that can calibrate various SF6 density relays and perform standard conversion of SF6 gas pressure at any ambient temperature.

    3. Preventing transformer insulation damage

    (1) When insulation parts need to be replaced during maintenance, materials and components that meet the manufacturer's requirements and pass inspection should be used, and they should be dried.

    (2) During transformer operation and maintenance, stepping on leads and insulation supports is strictly prohibited.

    (3) The insulation of the transformer should be tested regularly.

    4. Preventing excessive temperature of transformer coils, insulation deterioration or burning

    (1) Overload operation of transformers should be carried out in accordance with GB/T15164-94 "Loading Guide for Oil-immersed Power Transformers" and DL/T572-95 "Operation Code for Power Transformers".

    (2) The hot spot temperature of the transformer in operation must not exceed the limits and specific limits of GB/T15164-94 "Loading Guide for Oil-immersed Power Transformers".

    (3) The air cooler of the transformer should be externally flushed with compressed air or water every 1 to 2 years to ensure cooling effect.

    (4) When the transformer has defects or abnormal insulation, it must not operate above the specified current, and operation monitoring should be strengthened.
