Statistical Evaluation Method for Microcomputer Protection

The statistical evaluation method for microcomputer protection is:

      (1) Each operation (including failure to operate) of the microcomputer protection device is evaluated according to its function; segmented protection is statistically evaluated per segment. Each operation (including failure to operate) of the protection device should be statistically evaluated. The secondary load tester provides measurement of secondary load for current transformers and voltage transformers. In actual operation of voltage transformers, the total admittance is composed of the measuring instruments connected to the secondary side, the capacitance between secondary cables and between them and the ground.

      (2) The number of operations of each set of microcomputer protection devices must be counted according to the recorded information. For microcomputer protection devices that cannot clearly provide the protection operation situation, regardless of how many times they operate, only one count is made; if the reclosing is unsuccessful,

and the protection operates again to trip, then the protection is evaluated as operating 2 times and the reclosing as operating 1 time. As for which type of protection operation it belongs to, it is determined by analyzing the fault type and tripping time from the fault recording.
